Getting in Shape

Good Health is not an accident. In our youth many of us are ( or were ) blessed with mostly good health. Maintaining the body you are blessed with is not always easy. The Human body was not really designed to sit behind a desk for 9 hours a day. Or to spend countless hours watching a TV while in a sedentary position. Our bodies are designed to be active.


If getting in shape is on your agenda - cardio exercise is one of your best friends!









Small, simple changes can, in time, lead to a much healthier you. This time of year is an excellent time to get outside and enjoy the beauty of Winter while walking off the pounds. Or running if you're so inclined. Any activity you enjoy that gets you heart pumping and lungs working just a bit harder.

Some ideas to help you start moving more:


Walk with your family. If the weather is nice enough - enjoy a long bike ride!


Dance ( Dance like no one is watching! )


Get a rowing machine. Row for 20 minutes before the rest of the family wakes up. You'll feel better for hours!


Play basketball, hockey, tennis, or volleyball with your friends.

Kick-Start Your Heart

If you really want to pick up the pace of your weight loss effort or if you want better overall health, nothing beats a strenuous aerobic workout.
